Golf Ontario’s RSS strategy supports stronger regional engagement and development, with Riley Bridge (Regional Manager) leading on-the-ground delivery and membership engagement across Northern Ontario, while Owen Rigg (Regional Chair) provides regional leadership and oversight to ensure alignment with provincial goals.

Northern Layout Today
On November 1st, 2025, Golf Ontario announced a new restructuring of the Northern Ontario regional staff.
After three seasons as Regional Assistant, Riley Bridge has stepped into the role of Regional Manager. Owen Rigg will be moving into the role of Regional Chair, where he will advise on and support all golf-related matters across the North.
Riley and Owen are excited to continue strengthening golf in the area and building on the momentum already underway.
2025
Golf Ontario Northern Team
On February 10th 2023, Golf Ontario announced Owen Rigg as Regional Manager for Northern Ontario. Owen has worked with the NGA for the past 15 years, while also serving the Hollinger Golf Club as an advisor. Owen carries a great passion for the game and looks forward to continuing to support development in our region.
On March 15th 2023, Golf Ontario announced Riley Bridge as Regional Assistant for Northern Ontario. Riley has worked with the Golf Sudbury family for the past 8 years and is excited to help grow the game across the North.​​

On November 28, 2018, in Timmins, Golf Ontario and the Northern Golf Association signed an MOU — a partnership more than a decade in the making. This agreement marked a major step forward for the growth of golf in the Northern region and remains a defining moment in the renewed relationship between Golf Ontario, Northern Ontario, and its territories.
