As Northern Ontario golf courses prepare to open for the 2021 season, the NGA recently released its 2021 tournament schedule.
Missing from the 2020 season, the NGA Championships as well as Golf Ontario Championship Qualifiers make their much anticipated return to the Lively Golf Club on June 6th, 2021. On top of that, the Hollinger Golf Club is set to host this year's edition of the Golf Canada NextGen Fall Series East Championships scheduled for September 16-19th, 2021. Lastly, it's important to note that the Grant Ash Memorial Tournament hosted by the Lee Golf Club has changed the tournament date to July 18th for this years edition.
While the NGA Order of Merit awaits an official announcement as to whether it will return in 2021, the NGA is proud to release a tournament schedule that golfers across the north can look forward to.
NGA Board of Director Owen Rigg believes releasing a schedule was important in maintaining the momentum that the game of golf carried over from last year.
"I think it was important that we release a schedule ahead of the 2021 season. Not only do we want to give golfers something to look forward to, but more importantly we want to continue to promote and grow the game, much like we saw in 2020."
