The Northern Golf Association, in conjunction with Golf Ontario is excited to announce the inaugural 2022 NGA Better Ball Championships set to be hosted at the North Bay Golf & Country club in North Bay, ON on September 12th, 2022.
The NGA Better Ball Championships will also serve as an official Golf Ontario Better Ball Championships qualifier set to take place in late September.
In recent years, Golf Ontario has moved their Better Ball Championship from the spring to the fall, which has enabled the NGA to seek out the opportunity to provide a Better Ball Championship of its own, as well as an official Golf Ontario qualifier.
NGA director Owen Rigg who has been instrumental in acquiring such an event for the NGA is very pleased with the announcement, as well what this means for Northern Ontario golf.
"This is a significant move for the NGA and Northern Ontario golfers. We continue to pride ourselves on providing the best opportunities possible for those in the north and Golf Ontario continues to provide us with the resources and cooperation to make these events possible."
The Golf Ontario Better Ball Championships are set to take place on October 3rd, 2022 at the Oakdale Golf & Country Club.
