The Kapuskasing Golf Club played host to this years NGA Junior Championships this past weekend on July 23rd, 2020.
Despite COVID-19 circumstances, golfers from across Northern Ontario enjoyed a safe and competitive day, one that Kapuskasing Golf Club Manager André Robichaud was very pleased with.
"It was a great day. We were pleased to see golfers of all age competing and having fun. Even some of our younger golfers played a scramble and got it on the action."
"I think when you introduce these young golfers to competition and tournament golf, it goes a long way. By the time they are 13-14 years old, they understand how things work."
When asked about COVID-19 measures, Robichaud added that the everyone followed proper protocols and praised his staff on doing a great job providing a safe and fun environment for the young golfers.
